Membership

Why do I need to become a member?

As this is a new group membership is £0.50 a month, paid annually. The £6 will be used to cover administrative, banking and transaction fees. We aim to be a paper-free group in administration and monies. We will operate as a non-profit organisation; however, to be sustainable it is important that all group costs are met.

Having a membership list with contact information ensures we can keep members updated with meeting news, local opportunities and events.

Members will have the (optional) opportunity to exhibit and participate in Open Studio type events collectively. We aspire to have (optional) occasional art sales or stalls at local markets in the future.

Being a membership group allows us to collectively join pastel societies beyond Malvern and keep up to date with news about pastels as a fine art medium.

Members may wish to share and support each other on social media using the #malvernpastelartists @malvernpastelartists on Instagram and/or the Facebook page and group.

Ticket monies will be used to cover room hire, tea/coffee/refreshments, still life objects/displays and materials for loan to beginners.

Costs 

£6 annual membership for 2026 (£0.50 a month) and £5 per booked session. For transparency transaction fees are added.

In an attempt to keep admin to the minimum the group will handle all membership and session dues electronically using a trusted third party tool eg. Ticket Tailor.
