Whenever possible I like to sketch and paint outdoors on location; also amassing photo mementos to bring back to the studio. My sketchbook and photo references transport me back to how it felt to be in the location, and it is this sense of place I hope to evoke in my landscape work. I’m very lucky to be surrounded by nature and beautiful landscapes around Malvern and Worcestershire.
