Session 12 – Malvern in Bloom 🌸

What a session! Friday 17th July saw us gather for Session 12 of Malvern Pastel Artists, and the theme couldn't have been more fitting for the time of year – Malvern in Bloom.

If you've been out and about in Malvern lately, you'll have noticed the town is looking absolutely gorgeous – and that's no accident. Malvern is proudly taking part in the Royal Horticultural Society's Britain in Bloom 2026 competition, and the floral displays around town are truly something special. We thought it was the perfect inspiration for an evening of pastel creativity!

Pastels, Petals & Good Company

Members arrived armed with their pastels – soft pastels, oil pastels, pastel pencils – and got stuck into capturing the colours and textures of blooms in their own unique styles. The results were, as always, wonderfully varied and full of personality.

One of the things we love most about our sessions is the relaxed, social atmosphere. There's no pressure, no judgement – just a group of like-minded people enjoying the creative process together. Conversations flow, tips get shared, and laughter is never far away. Whether you're working on a detailed study or a loose, expressive piece, you'll feel right at home.
