Spring Bulbs & Blooms at Highdown Gardens presents a sunlit bank of flowering bulbs rendered in lively pastel marks. Layered yellows, reds, purples and whites form a textured field of bloom that seems to breathe with spring light, while soft, diffused tones through the greenery offer a gentle, restorative calm. I worked in an impressionist manner, using loose pastel marks to suggest movement and the fleeting interplay of colour across flowers and foliage.
